wslview package opens the fil or dir with the default program set in windows.

resource management

WSL appears to leak a lot of memory when left running a lot of time

• limit resources by creating and editing the ~/.wslconfig file
• restart wsl wsl --shutdown
• then WSL (ubuntu) cache can get pretty big. inspect with free command and clean with echo 3 | sudo tee /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches
